Spirit of Revenge
When they met for the first time, it was already clear that they both would die. He was a long-wanted thief, and although she was innocent, she had no chance to survive, as she helped him. None of them knew, but they both should end at the gallows. It was a calm summer day, when he fled from the house he had been robbing, through the window through which he had entered, and ran into her. She was the mayor’s youngest daughter and she had only heard rumours on the thief painting the town red for a while. When she met him in front of the house, she did not recognize him as a thief, but only saw an attractive man smiling at her. Before the beadle followed him, he made her promise to meet him at midnight at the lake. Of course, she had romantic thoughts and so, she was at the meeting-point long before midnight.
