When they met for the first time, it was already clear that they both would die. He was a long-wanted thief, and although she was innocent, she had no chance to survive, as she helped him. None of them knew, but they both should end at the gallows. It was a calm summer day, when he fled from the house he had been robbing, through the window through which he had entered, and ran into her. She was the mayor’s youngest daughter and she had only heard rumours on the thief painting the town red for a while. When she met him in front of the house, she did not recognize him as a thief, but only saw an attractive man smiling at her. Before the beadle followed him, he made her promise to meet him at midnight at the lake. Of course, she had romantic thoughts and so, she was at the meeting-point long before midnight. She was impatient as it was the first time for her to meet a man on her own. And thus, the time till he appeared from the shadows was nearly unbearable for her. He seemed to be

Überall dasselbe Weiß Vorne, hinten, oben, unten An jedem Ort derselbe Scheiß, die Welt im Schnee verschwunden. Ich komm nicht raus, kann nicht entfliehn, vor der Tür 'ne weiße Wand, ich sehe Schneeflocken vorüberziehen, unter einer Decke liegt das ganze Land. Wo bleibt die Sonne, wo ist der Lenz? Ich habe keine Lust mehr auf den Schnee! Vorbei soll sein die Abstinenz, ich habe Sehnsucht nach Blumen, Wärme und nach Klee!

Ohne Ziel und ohne Richtung, gefangen im Jetzt und Nie. Ich falle beständig Oder bin ich in der Schwebe? Wann ist jetzt? Wann morgen? Die Zeit vergeht ohne mich Und steht auf ewig still. Gibt es ein Jetzt? Oder ist alles Nie? Gefangen in der Schwebe. Tempus fugit - die Zeit flieht. Nur leider ohne mich.

Refrain Sydney, Marseille und Istanbul, ich reise durch die Welt. Kuala Lumpur und Pjöngjang, ich bleib, wo's mir gefällt. Hier und da begeh' ich einen Mord, Tiflis, Wien und auch Toronto, ich morde an einem jeden Ort. 1 Seit über zwanzig Jahren zieh ich nun durch die Welt, bin jeden Tag auf Achse und schlafe nachts im Zelt. Ich bin mal hier und mal da, durch alle Kontinente, erschaffe mir dabei ein ganz besondres Ambiente. Und finde ich 'nen Ort ganz besonders wundervoll, dann gehe ich nachts los und fordere auch Blutzoll. Refrain 2 Seit über zwanzig Jahren bin ich nun schon auf Reisen, ich töte dabei viele Menschen auf ganz verschiedne Weisen. Ich bin überall und nirgends, überall auf dieser Erde, in meinem Leben gab's noch nie über mich Beschwerde. Und niemand wird mich je an einem Ort zu fassen kriegen, meine Opfer bleiben stets in einer dunklen Ecke liegen.
